CINCINNATI, Ohio. (June 2, 2008) – Coming off a very successful year campaigning a Nissan 350Z in SCCA Touring 2 (T2) class, driver Jason Henderson will be taking his fight to the ultra-competitive Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series. Jason has recently signed on with New York based Fountain Motorsports, to race their BMW 330i when Koni Challenge invades Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 22nd. “I’m just so excited to racing back at Mid-Ohio and racing for a quality team like Fountain, who’s had such solid results in the past,” explained Jason. Details of the agreement are still being ironed out, but if things go well at Mid-Ohio, expect to see Jason in a few more races with Fountain this season. Jason’s co-driver is long-time friend and MX-5 Cup competitor, Erik Stearns. “I met Erik at the track and from day one I knew he was fast and have always had a lot of respect for his racing ability,” Jason added. “I’m just glad he’s on my side for Mid-Ohio”

A series record, 51 Street Tuning (ST) cars are expected to take the green at Mid-Ohio. The Koni Challenge ST Class features close, spirited competition, with mandatory driver changes for each event. For more information on the series, visit www.grand-am.com/koni
